💫 Yesterday, I had the transformative opportunity to join the ranks of those who have graced the TEDx stage, as I spoke at TEDxMolos. It was a dream turned into reality—a deeply personal milestone. The prep was intense, filled with excitement and a good dose of nerves, but every moment was worth it for the chance to speak from the heart about something that deeply moves me. On stage, sharing "Personalizing the Battle: Where Cancer Innovation Meets Compassion," I aimed to convey the magic that happens when we pair #scientific advances with true #empathy. It was an honor to be among extraordinary speakers like Philippos Aristotelous, Stylianos Lambrou, Natallia Miranchuk, and Sofia Popovidou, each with their unique and inspirational insights. A heartfelt thank you to the TEDxMolos team, especially Gala Grigoreva and David Kivakude, and to Panis Pieri, FastForward, and Cyprus Mail for amplifying our message. This talk was my tribute to those facing #cancer, highlighting that #healing is about more than medicine—it's about human connection. ⛓ Elevating malignant wounds care through therapeutic solutions. 💊 The MiRACULOUS project marks a significant milestone in Theramir Ltd's journey towards advancing innovative therapeutic solutions for cancer patients. This initiative represents a groundbreaking effort to address a devastating complication of cancer that has long been overlooked: malignant wounds. 🎗 Malignant wounds are characterized by non-healing wounds and occur when cancer cells penetrate the skin and nearby blood and lymph vessels. They pose significant challenges, affecting approximately 15% of those with advanced cancer, with breast and head and neck cancer patients being particularly vulnerable. Symptoms include malodor, hemorrhage, pain, necrosis, bacterial infection and exudate leading to psychosocial distress in oncological patients. Several qualitative studies revealed that for many patients malignant wounds are considered “the worst part of cancer” causing feelings of shame and social isolation. Currently, there is no cure and management is focusing on palliative care. Theramir Ltd’s vision is a future where cancer no longer dictates fear and suffering. Over the years, we've dedicated ourselves to developing innovative therapeutic and diagnostic solutions for cancer.
